Today we're going to review Part #DU20068. This is the Du Ha truck storage box and gun case for under the rear seat. This Part # is dark gray in color. This is a custom designed storage bin to fit 2003-20012 Ford F250, F350, F450 and F550, the super duty crew cabs with the rear 60-40 split end seat. This is a custom designed fit for your vehicle. The color does match your truck's interior, for this Part # would be dark gray.
This is a under seat truck storage bin that will store tools, guns and other items. It also keep items from cluttering your seats and the floor of your vehicle and you can store your valuables out of sight in here. This large bin does extend under both rear seats. You will lift the rear seats up and this won't stall underneath and when you close your rear seats that would give you a lid to the storage bin. This bin is made of a heavy duty polypelene plastic which will withstand the punishment of everyday use.
Now, this does come with the two dividers and basically what these can be use for are there are two pieces, one is a harder material and this is a little bit softer than foam material and they can be use as dividers. In the storage bin there's channel slots in there and these can be slid in to those. Once they are installed like that, they can be use as dividers to divide your storage bin into three separate compartments and they do have cutouts and the reason that is, they can be used to store guns and this can be use as a gun case and they actually thus would be a legal gun case in most states. This material up here is a softer material so when your guns are laid across there and supported in here won't damage your guns. Now these inserts to come with it are designed to hold two guns without scopes.
Now there is available and optional Part # which is DU90018 and those are inserts that will allow you to slide in here and to be able to hold two rifles with scopes. Okay, and the way this would install is you will lift the rear seats on your vehicle and underneath your rear seat would be a metal tray, you have to remove the bolts to remove that metal tray and then save two other bolts and basically what you will do is there's a hole drilled here and a pre-drilled hole right here, this would slide under the rear seat and this holes will line up with the holes where the metal tray was and take those two bolts that you save and install them right into those holes and that would attach the storage bin to your vehicle. Let me give you a few dimensions on this. I'll give you the overall width, it should be 56 inches and the overall length is 14 inches and the height or depth would be 4 1/2 inches and with the dividers they will give you three compartments so what I'm going to do is measure the width of those compartments, the widest would be 17 inches, here would be 25 inches. This part is made in the USA.
