Today we're going to review part number DU10045. This is the Du-Ha Truck Storage Box and Gun Case for under the rear seat. This is dark gray in color. This is a custom fit storage bin that will fit 2007-2012 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, the new body style and the 2007-2012 GMC Sierra Extended Cab, the new body style. This is an underseat truck storage bin which will store your tools, guns, and many more items and it will also help keep items from cluttering your seats and the floor of your vehicle. You can store your valuables out of sight in this storage bin since it is under the rear seat.
This part is made of a heavy duty polyethylene plastic which will withstand the punishment of everyday use. Besides being custom designed to fit your vehicle, the color will also match your trucks interior. On this part number the color is dark gray. This large bin will extend under both rear seats. When this is installed, you would lift your rear seats up, install this underneath and attach it and then when you lower your rear seats, it would cover the storage bin.
Now this part does come with two dividers, that can also be used as gun racks. Basically there's two pieces to them; one is a very hard plastic material, which when used up against this thicker, dense foam, soft material, will aid in the support and stiffness of the divider . As you can see there are cutouts to hold two guns. The nice thing is the guns will rest on this foam material, which being a softer material will protect your guns from getting any damage to them. Basically, you'd put them together and if you'll look in the storage box, they do have molded in slots, that these would slide into.
So, if you would slide just those down in there like that and take this one; which is two pieces also. Slide it into those slots; you have two dividers which will divide your storage bin into three separate compartments. Or it has the two cutouts, which we'll be able to use to hold two rifles without scopes. Also, this storage bin is considered a legal gun case in most states. It also comes with two attaching or nylon straps, for attaching the storage bin to your vehicle.
Basically when you install this, if you can see there's two cutouts right here, in the middle of the storage bin. The straps will go through those cutouts. Basically we'll lift you rear seats, and normally under the rear seat, there will be a jack tool bag, and what you'll have to do is turn the wing nut, remove the tool bag and the metal bracket, and this will slide up underneath there. What you'll need to do is take your nylon straps put it through the cutouts here. Run it through the seat bracket, bring it back through the buckle. Pull it through and then just snug it down and do the same with this one through this. Then what you can do is take that tools bag for your jack and you can store it in the storage bin or also under your vehicle. There's a ledge that will be behind this storage bin in your vehicle, you can store it in there also. And what I'm going to do is give you a few dimensions on this storage bin. We'll do the over-all width, which will be about 57-1/2 inches. The length right here is 15-1/2 inches, and 15-1/2 inches, in the middle is about 14 inches.
