Today we're going to review part number DU10042. This is the Du-Ha Truck Storage Box and Gun Case for under the rear seat. This one is dark gray. This is a custom designed storage bin that will fit 2007 to 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab new body style and the 2007, the 2012 GMC Sierra Crew Cab new body style. This is an under seat truck storage bin which will store tools, guns and other items and it will also help keep items from cluttering your seats and floors of your vehicle. And you can use it to store your valuables out of sight because this would be under the rear seat.
This large bin will extend under both rear seats and it is made of a heavy duty polyethylene plastic which will withstand the punishment of everyday use. I did mention this is custom designed to fit your vehicle and the color will match your truck's interior. For this part number it is dark gray. The storage bin will come with four dividers, those two, these two and then also two nylon straps. And basically what these would do is if you look in the storage bin they have slots that are molded into the bin and if you'll insert these dividers it will divide your storage bin up into smaller compartments.
So if this one is a very hard plastic material, if you take the cut out as it's facing up and just slide that down into one of the slots. And same one on this side where the slot is, it's facing up. You just slide that down this way. And that basically will divide it in half. And then you'll take these dividers which are actually two pieces, one is a very hard plastic material and what that is used for is to support and stiffen this thicker dense foam material which has the cutouts and can be used as a gun rack.
And what's nice about this material being softer is that when you put your guns in here it won't do any damage to the guns. And then you'll just put this part next to it to give it some support. And then you'll take the slot which is right here and basically just line it up with the slot here and slide it down into the slots in the storage bin. That will lock it all into place. This one you do the same way.
It's two pieces and you'll have the slot right here and you just line it up with the slot there to lock it in and then push it down. And as you can see, it will interlock and give you pretty much six different storage bins or it will also give you as you the three openings that were on those dividers, it will allow you to hold three guns in the storage case, one of them with a scope. And actually this would be a legal gun case in most states. And then to install this on to your vehicle what you would do is raise up your rear seats. This would slide under there and as you'll see there's these two slots right here which are around the storage bin. You'll take the included nylon straps and run it through the slot, run the strap through the seat bracket on your vehicle, bring it back through the buckle, pull it down to tighten it and that will tighten it to your vehicle. And you'll use this strap and this slot right here the same way so it will be attached with the two straps. Now I do also want to give you some dimensions on this. The width of this is 56 inches, the length would be 18 inches, and on the front would be 4 inches and on the back would be 7-1/2 inches.
