Today, we're going to review part number BD182804. This is the Bulldog Square Jack with a Drop Leg that has spring return and it is a sidewind crank jack. As you can see here, the crank is on the side of the jack. This heavy duty square drop leg jack will include the crank. It does have the side facing plunger and up top here is an easy-to-access gear box. This jack is perfect for agricultural, construction, livestock, or heavy duty utility application.
This jack will feature a 7-gauge alloy steel which will offer superior strength and durability. It has painted inner and outer tubes which are weather resistant ad I mentioned before the gear box right here, you can unscrew these right here. Have easy access for routine maintenance and it does include a zerk grease fittings. There's right here, two of them, that you can grease up the gear box to maintain it. Now, the drop leg does have a spring return which increases the overall extension for maximum adjustability.
Basically, you would pull this plunger pin out right here and turn it to lock it into position. That will allow the drop leg to fall down or you can pull it down to whatever level you want, and there are holes in the side. When you find the right level, release this. The plunger pin would go into the hole and hold that drop leg at that position. And when you go to release it, you just pull this out and lock it.
It would automatically spring return into upright position. This is a direct weld design. You can use two of these jacks together for tandem applications by just repositioning the pinion level gear in one of the jacks. The sidewind crank is included and the standard foot plate is included. Now, I do want to give you a few measurements on it.
This jack here I have in the fully retracted position, so if we do an overall height it's going to be 27-1/2 inches. In a safe time, I pull another jack and have it in the fully extended position. So if we measure that, it's going to be 40 inches and the drop leg that will extend out measures 13-1/2 inches. So basically, the overall lift on this jack would be 12-1/2 inches. The tubing width on this is going to be 4 inches. The handle radius which would be this distance here from here to here is going to be right at 13-1/2 inches. The lift capacity on this jack is 10,000 pounds and the static lift capacity is 12,000 pounds. This does come with a limited five-year warranty. And that should do it for our review on part number BD182804.
