Today were going to review part number bd182411. This is the Bulldog Square Jack, side-wide handle, and the non-spring return drop leg. This heavy duty square drop leg jack has a side facing plunger pin and an easy to access gear box on top. This is perfect for agricultural, construction, livestock, or heavy duty utility applications. The side-wide crank is sold separately. This jack is constructed of a seven gauge alloy steel which offers superior strength and durability.
The inner tube and the outer tube are painted to make them weather resistant. The gear box atop here has screws that can be unscrewed and you have easy access for routine maintenance. It does also have two zerk fittings over here to grease the gear box. Now the drop leg on this is a non-spring return. It will increase the overall extensive of the jack for maximum adjustability.
The non-spring return basically means that the user will need to physically lift the jack at the foot to return it to the up position. Thats why over here they do have a handle that is welded on to aide in pulling up the drop leg. Again the plunger pin over here is on the side of the jack not the front. This jack is a direct weld design. The side-wind crank is sold separately.
If you go to the product page for this part number on the right hand side will be a box that shows related products and itll list the correct side-wide crank for this jack. The foot plate is included. Now this jack can be paired with part number bd182400 or a bd182404 for tandem applications. I do want to give you some dimensions on this. This jack right here I have in the fully retracted position.
The overall height fully retracted would be 27 and a half inches. Then what I did to save time is I pulled the same jack and put it in the fully extended position. To give you measurement fully extended would be 40 inches. Thatll give you total lift on this jack of 12 and a half inches. Now this drop leg when its released will have a maximum travel of 13 and a half inches. The tubing width is four inches. This jack does have a static weight capacity of 12,000 pounds and a lift weight capacity of 10,000 pounds. It does come with a five year warranty. Just to show you this is the side-wide crank. If you crank counter-clockwise it would lower it. If you crank clockwise it would raise it. Again the plunger pin which Ill show you when that would be pulled out and put in the lock position. That will allow the plate to drop down and therell be adjustments holes along the drop leg. When you find the right height you want you just release the plunger pin and it will insert into the hole and keep that drop leg at the right height. When youre ready to raise it back up you just pull the spring loaded plunger pin back out, lift up your drop leg and let the plunger pin go in and hold it up. That should do it for a review on part number bd182411.
