Today were going to review part number BD580403. This is the Bulldog Lifelong Trailer Coupler Lock. Fits trigger latch style couplers. This lock will guard against trailer theft with a durable steel butterfly style coupler lock; works with most ball couplers that have the trigger style latches. It is chrome plated which will resist corrosion and the unique ball bearing locking mechanism provides extra security. This coupler lock will secure the trigger latch on your trailers coupler to deter theft, that way the trailer cant be removed from your tow vehicle when locked onto the ball.
And basically this comes with a plastic cap cover which will cover the key slot to help prevent corrosion and the locking mechanism. It comes with two high security square keys/ And basically when theyre inserted and the lock is opened, as you can see, there is the ball bearing design mechanism right down there. Basically, this would be applied when you hook your coupler up to your hitch ball and you put your trigger latch down, therell be a hole right there, what youll do is insert this pin; theres -inch pin diameter right here. This will go through that hole and when you push this down and push it together and then just push in, it will lock it into place.
