Installation of a Bug Shield on a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500

Today we are going to install part number 392354 from EGR. This is a chrome bug shield. We are going to install this on a 2009 Dodge 2500 Full Size Pickup. All right we will show you where it mounts up on the vehicle itself. The bug shield is going to actually go between this part of the grill and the hood. We will slide the unit in between the hood and the grill and tighten it back up. Lets go ahead and pop the hood open and loosen the screws.

We need to loosen one here, one here, here, here, here, and the last one being right here. Go ahead and lower the hood and pull the grill away from the hood just a little bit. There is a pretty big gap there just want to make sure you can get the bug shield into place and just it in. Line up it up with the grill, put the grill back into place, sometimes those tabs get in the way, hold it out and just push them back down. Make sure it is centered around the grill even, push it back into place, then raise the hood and just reinstall the nuts by tightening them. In a few easy steps you added a nice bug shield to your pickup that actually looks like part of the pickup. And there you have it for part number 392354 from EGR.
