These multipurpose, galvanized steel crossbars supply the backbone for your aftermarket roof-rack system. Bars provide stability to your rack system and carry the accessories that secure your gear. Round design fits all Yakima towers.
Installation Notes:
This system utilizes a clamp-style attachment to secure itself onto your vehicle's roof.
Maximum allowable weight load is 100 lbs
Caution! Proper tower balance is critical for this installation. Pay close attention to the gold slider positions and increase micro adjuster in small increments, alternating between towers until the sliders are at equal levels in relation to the hash marks on the towers. Slider positions may not be equal from one bar to the next
Any load extending over the windshield (except luggage boxes) must be secured to both the front and rear of the vehicle, in addition to the rack. The total weight of the racks and loads must not exceed Yakima's weight limit for that vehicle's factory rack
Caution! Check clips after installing. Grab each clip and try to pull them hard away from your vehicle. If the clip moves, tighten the adjustment post. If the clip still moves, recheck your measurements between the towers and adjust if necessary. Check clip again
Loads limited to Skis, Bikes, Boats, Gear Baskets, SpaceCadet 15s, Platinum/BlackTop 16s, and SkyBox/SkyBox Pro 16s. No long loads that cannot be tied down at the ends
