Brake controller Installation with OEM Chrysler Wiring Harness Installed

Question:

I have a 2005 chrysler pacifica. I just bought the oem 7 wirning harness and I am now looking for a proportinal brake controller for it. I really dont want to cut or splice any wiring just looking for some unit to plug into the factory harness under the dash. Can you help me with a good brand with digtal readout and a back switch that manual or automatic that plugs in??? Thanks

I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy Proportional Brake Controller, item # 90185, for your vehicle. This our best selling proportional unit and it will help conserve the brakes on the trailer and vehicle by applying the appropriate amount of braking pressure to the trailer brakes based on your settings and the speed which the vehicle is decelerating. This controller has a digital display and a manual brake lever to power the trailer brakes. If you had a 7-Way wiring harness installed on your Pacifica and the wiring has been connected to a OEM port under the dash then you may be able to use the Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Dodge Vehicles, item # 3020-p, to plug in the brake controller. Otherwise you will have to hard wire the brake controller to the vehicle to complete the installation. Hard wiring is completed by grounding the white wire from the brake controller to the vehicle chassis, then running the blue brake feed to the correct port in the trailer connector at the rear of the vehicle. Next you run the red wire to the brake switch wire that goes hot when the brake pedal is pressed. Finally you will need to connect the black wire through a 20 amp circuit breaker, item # PK54520, (for trailers with 4 brake assemblies or less) to the positive battery post.
