Can I use TowReady Cargo Carrier 63155 With My Polaris RZR S UTV

Question:

I just purchased a RZR s and i am wanting to know if this cargo carrier will work. or will i need any adapters to make it work? Please Help.

Expert Reply:

The maximum towing capacity of your Polaris RZR S is 1,500 pounds with a 1-1/4 inch hitch. I spoke to a local Polaris dealer and he said you probably will not want to go over 100 pounds tongue weight, or else the RZR may ride funny. The cargo carrier you were looking at is not designed for ATV/UTV use and is not the best carrier to use. We carry cargo carriers specifically for ATV/UTV use that have a higher rise to handle the off-road use. TowReady part # TR65855 is a 1-1/4 inch ATV/UTV cargo carrier it weighs about 35 pounds. TowReady instructs to put no more than 50 pounds of weight on it. As heavy as they are built, the rigors of ATV trails and rides could bend the carrier if you had more weight on it.
