Using the Trailer Hitch Skid Wheel Protector, Part 10-4216 To Prevent Receiver From Dragging

Question:

What is available to protect your hitch from dragging the ground on low aprons, and something besides one that will install by using your hitch pin, because I use that to haul an hitch extension and carrier. Thanks

Unfortunately, the only solutions that we currently offer involve roller units such as the Trailer Hitch Skid Wheel Protector part # 10-4216, and the Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector, part # RM-050. The Skid Wheel Protector CAN be used while towing, the tabs that are secured by the hitch pin wrap around the outside of the receiver, which prevents interference with a towed accessory.
