Question:
Hi, I have a BMW 325i Sedan 2006, will a Curt Hitch 11771 fit or is there an alternative. Only for hauling bikes. Thanks

The Curt Hitch, part # 11771, will fit your 2006 BMW 325i, and would be very suitable for a bike rack. The hitch has a 200 pound tongue weight rating and is a Class 1. There is a difference in bike racks in respect to Class 1 and Class 2. A Class 2 bike rack, will not fit in a Class 1 hitch. A Class 1 bike rack will fit both Class 1 and Class 2 hitches. I have included a link to all our Class 1 bike racks. You can also measure the bike rack. If the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the inserted end is 1-1/2 inches it is a Class 1. If it measures 2 inches, it is a Class 2 and will only fit in Class 2 hitches. If you have a bike rack already and do not have the instructions and are unsure if it is a Class 1 or Class 2, you can write me back with the make and model of the bike rack and I can find out. Check your vehicle owner manual for towing capacities. If it has less than 200 pound tongue weight, that is the limit you must go by. You can only haul as much as the lowest rated component can support.
