Best, Most Lightweight Cargo Carrier for Mercedes-Benz RX 350 With Class II Receiver

Question:

I have a mercedes Rx 350 with a 1 1/4 hitch receiver. I need a hitch-mounted carrier that is as lightweight as possible for me 100 lb woman to attach would like it to fold when not in use and want stability when driving. I plan to put 4 full suitcases and maybe some smaller items on the carrier when traveling will need to be strapped down of course. What do you recommend?

We offer several Cargo Carriers that will work great with the 1-1/4 inch receiver, but unfortunately none of them are folding models. The folding models we offer are all designed for the 2 inch receiver. The most lightweight cargo carrier that we have available for your vehicle is the Tow Ready 20x48 Railed Cargo Carrier part # 63155, which weighs approximately 45 pounds. Another option would be the Rola 23x56 Railed Carrier, part # 59507. This carrier, although a bit heavier at around 65 pounds, offers approximately 330 square inches more cargo area.
