Installing 12V Trailer Accessory Power Lead on 1999 Ford F150

Question:

I ordered brake controller from you and your info is great, would like to know if I can run hot lead to trailer connector from power dist. box as there is two hot wires comining out of it that are not being used. bought pickup used so dont know what they were used for. 1999 f150 supercap 4x4 thank you

The wiring for the trailer hot lead should already be in place. If it is not, I would recommend running a line directly off the positive battery terminal, using an inline 40 amp circuit breaker, such as part # 9510.
