Question:
Please tell me how I can tell the rating for my sidewinder hitch. Under neath the hitch it says SW01 if that helps. Also what is the torque rating for the 3 bots on the turret portion of the hitch. My trailer GVW is 17,000lbs. It was making a lot of noise on turns so I took it all apart and cleaned it and put in some white lithium spray grease.....seems to help. Can a person purchase new disc sliders for the sidewinder hitches, and if so, where, and at what cost? Can a person trade up to a air ride system? Do you take trades to do so? Thank you for your assistance. I do like the product as it has helped in turns with my short box 2003 Dodge 3/4 ton truck.

Your Sidewinder is rated for 16,000 lbs, the fact that it is overloaded could possibly explain the noises you are hearing during turns. Since your Sidewinder has the 3 bolt cap, the bolts need to be tightened to 80 foot pounds. Unfortunately, we do not accept trades. We offer replacement wear discs, the upper is part # 200959, the lower is part # 114123. I would recommend upgrading to the the 19K Sidewinder or the 19.5K Air Ride System, as your current set-up is not safe.
