Inatallation and Wiring Harness for a Brake Controller on a 2010 Honda Pilot?

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and there is no information available yet for the 2010 Honda Pilot. In the past Honda has only installed a 4-way trailer connector on their Pilot vehicles and if a brake controller is added it had to be hard wired to vehicle. If you have the factory 4-way trailer package then you can use the Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, item # ETBC7, to install the Prodigy, item # 90185, in your 2010 Honda Pilot. When installing the wiring kit you will need to run a wire for the trailer brake feed from the blue wire on the back of the brake controller and a power wire from the battery to the 12 volt pole on the 7-way connector to power your trailer accessories and charge the trailer battery. When installing the brake controller you will need to use a circuit tester, item # 3808 if you need one, to find the brake pedal switch wire that is only hot when the brakes are applied, and splice the red wire on the brake controller to that wire. Instructions for the complete install are included with the wiring kit and brake controller.
