Installing Journey HD Brake Controller, Part # V30520 on 2005 Ford E450 Motor Home

Question:

I have a 2005 Ford E450 Motorhome with an older brake controller. Can I buy a Valley Journey HD 2-8 # V52740, then cut the connector plug off and wire it in place of my old controller?

Brake Controllers are not vehicle specific, you can install any brake controller you wish on your motor home. The typical wire colors for brake controllers is as follows- the red wire connects to the brake stoplight switch, the white wire is the ground, the blue wire carries the brake output, and the black wire provides the 12Volt power. We offer a Valley Brake Control Hardwire Quick Disconnect Adapter, part # V30520, which would allow you to connect the controller to your existing wiring without cutting off the connector on the Journey HD Brake Controller.
