Tekonsha P3, Part # 90195 Install on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with No Tow Package

Question:

I bought a P3 brake controller for my 2004 Chevy Silverado no tow package it has the red wire with an end on it and a blue wire with a connector on it in the under hood fuse box but I dont know where they go the wires run to the back and are hooked up with one of your 7 pin connectors , but I cant figure out where to hook them up under the hood and I dont see a blue wire coming out of the cab to hook up to the wire in the fuse box .

Once the cover on that power distribution box is removed, you will see the two auxiliary power posts in the inboard side of the box. The one closest to the cab is where the red wire with the ring terminal would mount. The blue wire with connector would usually attach to another blue wire with a corresponding connector which can be found bundled up in the wiring harness located on the motor side of the distribution box. If you cannot find this wire, you can can cut off the existing connector, and attach a length of 12 gauge wire to run back to the brake output terminal on the trailer connector.
