The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body does NOT have the under dash port for installing a brake controller. (The old body style or Classic Model does have the port.) Under the dash, to the left of the steering column, is a bundle of tow package wires that would wire directly to the leads exiting the rear of your brake controller. We have a video on our website that illustrates the whole installation process. As shown in the video, the bundle of tow package wires that you are looking for has a white tag on it, with 4 or 5 wires. The red tow package wire connects to the black wire on the brake controller, the dark blue tow package wire connects to the the blue wire on the brake controller, the light blue tow package wire would connect to the red brake controller wire, and the white ground wires would connect together. If your truck was not equipped with the factory 7-way connector, you will need to install one. We offer a Replacement Twist-In 7-Way Trailer Connector for GM Vehicles, part # 20047. The connector is very simple to install. Simply remove the cover behind the blank installed to the left of the license plate, and plug the connector attached to the rear into the replacement.
