Question:
Diagram to conect brake controler to vehicle

Expert Reply:
To wire your 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe for a 7-way connector and a brake controller you will need a 4 way wiring harness for your vehicle, part number 118319 and a Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, part number ETBC7, along with the V52650 brake controller you selected. You will attach the 4-way wiring harness inline with the connector located on the inside left rear frame rail. Then you will connect this 4-way to the 7-way kit to power the taillight functions. After this is done you will need to connect the brake wire and the accessory wires, which will be ran to the front of the vehicle, to the proper locations. The blue brake wire should be ran to the blue wire from the brake controller and the black wire should be wired to the 12 volt accessory stud on your (under hood) fuse panel, or to the battery itself with a circuit breaker. Any other accessory wiring can be ran at this time.
