Your Truck currently has a Gooseneck Hitch, and you are wanting to use an adapter to use with a fifth wheel trailer, is that correct? To determine the necessary clearance, I would recommend using a tape measure and checking the distance from the gooseneck hitch ball back to the corner of the bumper. On the trailer, measure the distance from the king pin to the lower portion of the front of the trailer. To provide more clearance, if you should need it, we offer a Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Trailer Adapter with a 7-1/2 inch offset, part # CAB-5GX. This adapter would gain you additional clearance, if needed.
