Yes, the prodigy controller comes with installation instructions. We have more concise instructions on our web site and I will link you to them as well as a video showing the installation of a hard wired brake controller. You will need a circuit tester, part number 3808, to test the wiring under the dash and hook up the brake controller to the brake light switch. We do not have specific information on which wire coming out of the brake light connector on the H3 is the brake light circuit but, when testing, it will be the wire that goes hot when the brake pedal is pressed. You will need a 4-way Kit 18252, a 7-way kit ETBC7 and the brake controller to install the system on your Hummer. Hard wire the 4-way kit first and test it to make sure it is functioning properly. Then you can install the 7-way kit and run the wires you need to the battery or fuse block terminals under the hood. after that you can install the brake controller and everything should work at the connector to power your trailer lights, trailer brakes and any accessories you have wired for.
