How Do I Remove a Rusted Trailer Ball From My Truck Bumper If the Aftermarket Hitch is in the Way?

Question:

I have a rusted hitch ball in the back of my silverado. Is there a way to remove this. Also theres a class 3 hitch giving you even less room the reach the bolt to remove the hitch ball. any ideas.

If I am understanding your question correctly, you have a rusted trailer ball on the bumper mount, and an aftermarket hitch installed below it which is making it difficult to access the nut that holds on the trailer ball, is that right? If this is the case, your best bet would be to remove the aftermarket hitch. This would allow you more room to access the nut holding the ball to the bumper. Completely saturate the nut with spray lubricant. If it is still stuck, you can try slipping a length of pipe over the end of the wrench to gain more leverage on the nut. If this does not work, you will have to cut the ball off with a torch or cut off wheel.
