Question:
I do not understand this system.Do you still wire the camera to a reverse hotline even though you are running two extension cable sets to the monitor? I am using this for my RV. If so, does this tell me that the extension cable assemblies are tied into 12 volt current also since the extension plug is tied into the power wires coming from the camera?

For the camera to work, both the camera and the monitor each will need to be attached to a power supply. They are intend to work wirelessly with each other, but you can use and extension wire to eliminate any interference from cell phones or other drivers. You would wire the camera into your taillight and wire the monitor either through the cigarette lighter or to the car battery. The plugs and wires are included with the camera and give you this option. For the extension, you would plug one end of this extension into the monitor and the other end into the camera. The camera itself does not come with an extension. Our camera systems are designed to be wireless, but this extension cable will eliminate any chance of interference from cell phones and long distances from camera to monitor. It will work on the back of trailers and RVs with all our VR3 backup cameras. I have included a link to a video below that shows the step-by-step installation of how this works together with our cameras.
