Is the Factory Fuse and Relay Needed to Install a Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller on 2009 F150?

Question:

After the install of the controller on a 09 f-150 should you install the relay and the fuse ford provides for the trailer tow battery charge system to function properly. yes or no? THANKS I await your comment Steve

The relay and fuse are necessary to activate the 12 volt charge line and the circuits relating to the tow package. These circuits will not function correctly without them.
