I would recommend a proprortional controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy, part number 90185, or the Valley Odyssey, part number 52810. Both are great products, and are very easy to use and set up. The controller would plug into the port under the dashboard using a wiring adapter, part number 20260. To convert your 4-way connector to a 7-way you will need an adapter, part number 37185. The adapter would plug into your existing 4 way. The lead for the brake output, and the 12V trailer auxiliary lead on the adapter would tap into the existing wiring located on the drivers side frame rail. We have a Brake Controller Installation Guide that is vehicle specific to Ford trucks, I will include a link below to this Guide as well as the parts that I have mentioned.
