When the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier for 2 inch Trailer Hitches is installed on the back of your Town and Country Mini Van you will be able to open the rear hatch as long as the cargo you have loaded on the carrier is not too high. The taller the load the more likely that it will interfere with the rear door. You can do some measuring to see how high the load could be before causing a problem. At the back of your vehicle, measure straight out from the center of the hitch pin hole 17-3/4 inches then 4-1/2 inches up from the top of the hitch opening. This is where the load platform will start when the carrier is installed on your van. Next you can swing the door open and measure or just get an idea of how much clearance you will have for the load on the cargo carrier. When the carrier is folded you will not be able to open the rear door without lowering the carrier first. When selecting a carrier the longer the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier will give you the most clearance for your hatch to open.
