Measurements of Rola Cargo Carrier Code 59109, Inside or Outside
Question:
Need to know if the measurements on this item is outside or inside. We travel and compete with our dogs and are looking for something a little more convenient to pack kennels, etc in. Our widest kennel is 24 inches wide when folded and we were wanting to check to see if this carrier would accomadate this width so that they will lay flat in the bottom.

Here are the interior measurements of the Rola Swinging Enclosed Cargo Carrier: Bottom of Pod 47 inch Length x 21 inch Width. The Pod is widest in the middle, at which point it measures 52 inch Length x 26-1/2 inch Width The opening at the top measures 46 inch Long and 20 inch Wide. The interior height is about 17 inches. If your widest kennel is 24 inches wide, it would fit, but not lie flat in the bottom of this carrier. I'd recommend the Twin Tube Slide-Out Enclosed Cargo Carrier, part number 5800800. At 46-1/2 inch Long by 27 inch Wide, it would be large enough to accommodate the kennel that you mention.
