15K Pro Series Fifth Wheel Hitch Height for a 2005 Ford F-150

Question:

What should I set my adjustable hitch height to on my 15K Pro Series Fifth Wheel hitch for my 2005 Ford F-150 4X4 6.5ft box? I have a Kwik Slide mount on the bed rail accessories which came with the 15K Pro Series hitch.

Expert Reply:

You would want to adjust the hitch (and pin box, if possible) height so that the trailer is level. You will want to have at least 6 inches of clearance between the top of the bed railes and the bottom of the trailer loft.
