Both Turn Signals Blink When Vehicle Headlights are On

Question:

Rewired my car dolly, and everything works fine until I turn on the headlights, when the headlights are on and I turn on either turn signal, both turn signals blink.

You are experiencing the classic signs of a poor ground connection. When the headlights are switched on, the trailer lighing is drawing maximum amps through the system. If there is a problem, this is when it will show up. Make sure the gounding point on the dolly is secure and not corroded. Also check the points where the light fixtures are grounded. Some lamps are grounded by their physical connection to the trailer, sometimes there is a continuous ground circuit. Once you locate and repair the problem, your light will function perfectly.
