Question:
I hooked up a different trailer than I normally haul and the control is working most of the time, but I intermittinly get the SH signal flashing. Wondering where to start looking for the problem. Thanks

Dave, The error code you are reading indicates that there is a short circuit somewhere in the brake outupt circut on your trailer. Most likely, there is a pinched wire or at some point the wire insulation has cracked or been worn to the point where the copper wire is contacting the trailer frame or some other metal part. Start at the trailer connector, making sure that it's not corroded or damaged, then work your way back to the brake magnets, examining the wire as you go. For future reference, I'll include a link to the Tekonsha Prodigy owner's manual. Thanks for your question! Mike
