Carrying 4 Bikes with a 2003 Honda CR-V
Question:
First, your web site and videos have been very informative. Nice work. I have a 2003 Honda CRV with a spare tire mount on the back. I have a class 1 trailer hitch on it. I have four bikes to carry, including a kids bike. I would prefer to carry all four bikes together on the back instead of three on a spare tire carrier and one on top. If I get a hitch extension to help avoid the spare tire carrier, is there a four bike carrier that I can use?

With a class I trailer hitch, you are only supposed to carry up to 2 bikes. Also, if you use an extension, your available tongue weight will be cut in half. If you want to carry 4 bikes, you might want to consider upgrading your hitch from a class I to a class III. Here you can view the class III hitch for your vehicle.
