Trailer Turn Signals Not Working?

Question:

I recently purchased a hitch from etrailer. The hitch is fine, but I cant get the lights to work correctly. 2008 Pontiac Torrent T-one connector provided with hitch. Taillights and side markers work, but brake and turn signals do not. Suggestions? Thanks.

I suggest checking the ground wire on the harness to make sure it is attached to a clean piece of metal. You should also make sure you are getting a really tight connection on the plug.

Sarah: Thanks for the message. Turns out the ground was okay. What I didn't realize was that the relays can plug in different ways. I turned them 90 degrees and the system works great!
