Question:
The tail lights on my trailer are on even though the brakes on my vehicle are not activated. They used to work just fine 2 years ago. Im using the flat 4pin connector. I have the trailer connected to a 2004 Ford Aerostar. The driver side tail light in the Ford is burned out. Could this problem be related?

The problems might be related. I'd first replace that burned out bulb, and if the problem isn't fixed, use a circuit tester and check each pin on your connector while that function is activated. (For example, pin for yellow wire-left turn signal, pin for green wire-right turn signal, pin for brown wire-running lights.) You might also use that tester and check your converter to make sure it's working as it should. Make sure there is signal going in one side of the box, and out the other.
