Question:
We have a 2005 Chevy Suburban. We have been having this issue with seeing the brake lights light up and dim notice it at night when the car is parked and not turned on at all. Very strange. It is a newer Suburban to us and we cannot figure out what is causing this problem. I did notice that there is an item under the steering wheel that has been flashing O.C. and it is an Odyssey Brake Control system which I think is for extra brake control for trailering. Please advise if you know anything about this or what can be causing this. Thanks!!!

It sounds like the brake controller might be back feeding. I suggest disconnecting the controller to see if this stops the problem. There should be wiring leading to a plug which then plugs into the controller. You should be able to simply disconnect these plugs and remove the controller.
