How to Install Gooseneck Coupler BD0289500300 on a Trailer

Question:

How do we hook that on our trailer. Our 5th wheel plate unbolts then there a square hole .

Expert Reply:

Gooseneck coupler # BD0289500300 is installed by welding it, using gussets, directly to a trailer with no existing coupler or fifth wheel attachment. This coupler is not a 5th-wheel to gooseneck adapter, but a coupler meant to be installed on a naked trailer.

If you have an existing 5th-wheel kin pin on your trailer, a better choice for you would be to use a 5th-wheel to gooseneck adapter like # CAB-C5G. Using this adapter would be the easiest way to equip your current fifth wheel trailer with a gooseneck coupler.
