I do apologize that there were no instructions in the packaging that came with the Westin Ultimate Bull Bar with Skid Plate, # 32-0245. I have included a link to the instructions below. Here is a brief overview:
NOTE: Cutting the air dam is necessary if vehicles are not equipped with either tow hooks or fog lights. See NO TOW HOOK instructions. If you do have tow hooks then move on to the next step.
Remove tow hooks by removing front bolt and loosening rear bolt sufficiently. DO NOT remove rear bolt completely. Tow hooks will not be reinstalled. Determine passenger and driver brackets. Attach brackets using mount plates, bolt plates, and 1/2 inch fasteners. Bolt plates will be inserted from the end of the frame rail. Hand tighten. Reinstall front tow hook bolt and torque to 60 foot pounds and 1/2inch fasteners to 65 foot pounds.
Attach bull bar assembly to brackets using 1/2 inch fasteners. Level and adjust bull bar as desired.
Torque 1/2 inch fasteners to 65 foot pounds.
If you do not have tow hooks start here:
Remove lower air dam from vehicle and license plate holder using 8mm wrench and/or socket. Cut out templates. Mark centerline of lower air dam by locating the series of small fins on backside of air dam. Lines should be 8 inches long. Measure and mark a line 17-1/2 inches from center line. DO NOT follow contour of air dam. Make several marks from separate measurements using the centerline to create profile.
Align templates with air dam. The REAR OF AIR VALANCE line aligns with bottom rear portion of air dam and the CENTER LINE aligns with the 17-1/2 inch marks created. Tape template to air dam and trace the outline. Using desired method, cut along the outline. Additional trimming or adjustment of air dam may be necessary. Replace lower air dam.
Determine passenger and driver brackets. Attach brackets using mount plates and 1/2 inch fasteners.
Hand tighten. NOTE: Passenger bracket will not be flush with bottom of the frame. Attach bull bar assembly to brackets using 1/2 inch fasteners. Level and adjust bull bar as desired. Torque 1/2 inch fasteners to 65 foot pounds.
LIGHT INSTALLATION: Insert threaded stud on base of the light through hole in cross tube. Using a ratchet, extension and socket for correct size of nut supplied, insert through large clearance hole in bottom of cross tube. Thread nut and washers on stud and tighten. NOTE: A short socket, not a deep well works best to get the nut started. NOTE: Fits most 6 inch round or rectangle lights. Some lights may require replacing included mount/isolator with rubber bumpers provided. Mounting stud of 1/2 inches or less required. Plug mount holes with caps provided if not installing lights.
