I want to purchase and install the 18K Select Plus Fifth Wheel Hitch with Round Tube Slider by Draw-Tite, Reese and Hidden Hitch 30083. Does it come ready to install out of the box complete or do I need an installation kit? 2010 2500HD GMC crew cab reg 6 bed

The Reese 20K Fifth Wheel with Slider, part # RP30083, is just the hitch. Since installation kits are specific to vehicles, they are sold separately.

For a 2010 GMC Sierra 2500 with 6 foot bed, you use part # RP50064-58 as your install kit. It includes custom fit brackets that bolt through and around the truck frame, as well as the rails that sit in the truck bed for the hitch to attach to.

If you order part # 30083 and part # 50064-58 you will have everything you need to install the fifth wheel hitch on your truck. I have added a link to a video of this installation kit being installed on a 2009 Silverado 2500 so you can see how it is done. I have also included a link to the instructions that come with the kit.

You can also use Draw-Tite Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Kit part # 20110 to add a 7-Way to the bed of the truck to make connecting the fifth wheel trailer easier. I have added a video of this part being installed on a 2008 Chevy Silverado 3500.
