Display Lights on Prodigy Remain Lit While Driving and After Turning Off Vehicle

Question:

After installing the Prodigy controller I noticed two small lights near the bottom of the display that stay on while driving and dont go out for several minutes after turning off the car.is this anything to worry about? I dont see anything in the manual about this.thanks

The LED lights on the display of the Prodigy brake controller, part # 90185 will turn off after 15 minutes if there is no motion or activity sensed by the unit. The brake controller will go into a power-saving mode, with a blank display screen after 15 minutes.

You do not need to worry about the brake controller draining your vehicle battery, the LED lights pull a negligible amount of power when lit, and are there to show that the brake controller is functioning normally.

When a trailer with electric brakes is connected, the Prodigy display will read .C or .C. depending on whether a boost setting has been entered.
