Motorcycle Carrier Recommendation for a Hummer H2 and a 300 lb Bike
Question:
Bike weighs approximately 300lbs. Amc-400 max weight is 400lbs. My h2 hitch is class V. Would this extension work for my setup? Is there a better route or product?

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole of the Rage PowerSport Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier # AMC400 that you referenced to the center of the track where a motorcycle would sit is 18 inches. That's more clearance than most hitch mounted accessories have. You will need to measure from the center of your hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on your spare tire to see if that's enough clearance or if you would need an extender.
If you do need additional clearance and would want to use the # MT70024 that you referenced you will need to take the capacity of the hitch on your vehicle and reduce it by 50 percent and see if that leaves you with enough capacity for the weight of your bike plus the carrier. That should be about 340 lbs. If that checks out then yes, you could use the # MT70024.
