Wire Harness for a Tekonsha Brake Controller on a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Question:

I need to find the correct wire replacement harness for a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado w/ a factory installed port beneath the dash. Part #3015-P states that this replacement harness is for 2003 - 2006. Thank you

Starting with the new body style 2007 GM trucks no socket/plug for the brake controller is present. There are still active blunt cut wire leads in the under-dash area that can be used to hardwire a brake controller but no quick plug in option is available. There will be a bundle of wires underneath the dash with the following five colors: red, light blue, black, dark blue, and brown.

Brown is not used. Dark blue on the bundle goes to blue on the controller. Black in the bundle goes to white on the controller. Light blue on the bundle goes to red on the controller. Red on the bundle goes to black on the controller.
