Connecting the Red Wire from a Brake Controller to a 2006 Chevy Colorado

Question:

On installing the Tekonsha PRODIGY Brake Controller I have ran in to a problem. On my 2006 Chevy Colorado I have 2 plugins on my brake so that gives me 4 wires on the brake so where does the red wire go?

Expert Reply:

The red wire from the brake controller needs to be connected to the wire that becomes hot when the brake pedal is pressed. You will need to use a tester or voltage meter on the wires and press the brake pedal to see which wire is the correct one.
