How Does the # SC500 Scooter Carrier Ramp Attach When the Carrier is Loaded

Question:

I HAVE A 1980 GMC JIMMY. IT HAS A RECEIVER HITCH. I ASSUME THIS WILL ACCOMMODATE THE CARRIER. HOW DOES THE RAMP FOLD WHEN THE CARRIER IS LOADED WITH EQUIPMENT? DOES IT FOLD UNDER THE CARRIER, OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE REMOVED? IT LOOKS LIKE IT MAY BE WHAT I NEED TO CARRY MY SNOW BLOWER, LAWN MOWER, GASOLINE, ETC. I ASSUME IT IS EASY REMOVAL, TAKE OUT A CLIP AND PIN AND SLIDE OUT? THANKS.

When the carrier is loaded the ramp folds up at a 90 degree angle to the carrier platform and is secured with a spring loaded pin. It does not have to be removed (see video link)

Installation and removal of the carrier requires the use of a wrench to secure the anti-rattle device around the carrier shank and the vehicle hitch, which reduces the noise and rattle of the carrier when installed. There is also a hitch pin and clip that must be installed to secure the carrier.

This is a great way to carry push mowers and smaller snow blowers along with the gasoline necessary to run them without loading these dirty, wet and smelly items in the vehicle.
