Changing your passenger tires on the Expedition to Light Truck tires will not have any positive or negative effect on your swaying trailer. The way that your trailer is loaded can have a significant impact on the way your trailer handles. If most of the load (baggage, etc.) is to the rear of the trailer, it will contribute to the swaying condition you describe. Before proceeding further, I would recommend moving as much gear as possible toward the front of the trailer and see if this improves your handling issues.

The tapered spring bars can offer improved weight distribution performance, but will not improve sway control performance. The Pro Series SC is a good unit, and offers sway resistance that is only exceeded by the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System, part # RP66074.

I am confident that re-distributing the weight in your trailer will improve your sway problem.
