5th Wheel Installation Kit for a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

I need a custom installation kit for my 2010 Dodge 2500 w/6 box. I have the rails please tell me which one will work.

I spoke with my contacts at three of our suppliers and found that Valley does make a custom install kit that will work on your vehicle. There is a slight change to the frame on the 2010 3/4 ton truck that the other manufacturers have not accounted for yet. The Fifth Wheel Hitch Custom Installation Kit with Rails - 03-08 Dodge Ram (Clamp-On), item # V55340R, will work with the frame change on the 2010 model. This kit also works with Valley, Draw-Tite, Reese and Hidden Hitch fifth wheel hitches.
You will need to use the Valley Rails with the Valley install kit.

Question:

As a follow-up question - I have a Husky hitch(16K w/roller). Will the clamp-on kit that you reference work with the Husky rails that I already have? Thank you for your info.

I spoke with my contact at Valley and he said that the Husky rails , which were made by Valley, will work with your rails as long as they are no older than 15 years. I wanted to contact Valley to make sure that mixing the Husky rails and the Valley install kit would not reduce the weight capacity of the installation kit. So, as long as the rails you have are not crazy old ( 15 years or older ) then you will not have any problems. If you decide to order the install kit without rails, item # V55340, and find that your rails will not work you can order the valley rails separate, item # V70580. I have provided links to these items below for you.
