Question:
Can this rack be mounted and used on the front of my 06 Dodge ram with a front reciever hitch? How do you keep the motorcycle verticle? does it have to lean against the truck?

The Rage PowerSport Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier for 2 inch Hitch Receiver, item # AMC400, will work in a front mount hitch as long as the weight of the motorcycle and the weight of the carrier (40 pounds) will not exceed the capacity of the front mounted hitch or the vehicle frame. Rage recommends that the tongue weight capacity for the hitch and vehicle be at least 500 pounds. Check the hitch and with your vehicle dealer for these capacities. You will also need to take into account the amount of air that the motor cycle will block to the vehicle cooling system.
The motorcycle is kept vertical by using tie downs (see link) that are attached to two loops provided on the main support tube. I would recommend the Retractable Ratchet Straps with Push Button Release, item # 34414, which are very nice straps that do not have loose ends to blow around on the front of the vehicle. The motorcycle should not lean against the vehicle in any way.
