Will Hidden Hitch Class III Round Tube Trailer Hitch for a Mazda CX-9 Require Trimming Bumper

Question:

I was considering ordering part # 87438 from you guys for my Mazda CX-9 sport. Since the car was not factory installed with a hitch, do you know if there are any issues with this installation. Specifically I have read that the OEM hitch will only fit on the grand touring models that have a notched bumper. Not sure if this was accurate or even applied to the hidden hitch model or not. Any info you have would be appreciated.

The custom fit HiddenHitch you are interested in will fit without any modifications to the vehicle bumper. The hitch is positioned to fit just below the bumper. The OEM hitch on equipped models is constructed differently and is welded to the frame at a higher point than where these aftermarket hitches bolt.
