How to Boost Horsepwoer on a Lifted 1998 Chevrolet 4x4 Pickup Truck with 35 Inch Tires
Question:
I have a 1998 Chevy 4x4 short bed regular cab pickup thats lifted with 35 inch mud tires on it. It has stock gears but a brand new gm crate motor from gm, I would like to boost horsepower. I need to know what I need to buy to get the most horsepower a chip that plugs in computer or a programmer. Its the 350 vortex motor, can you help me? Thanks

I have heard that there are some chips out there for the older C/K series GM pickup trucks, but we do not offer them. If your truck feels a little sluggish with the larger tires, your best option would be a higher gear ratio. If you are simply looking to boost horsepower, there are shops that will do custom tunes for vehicles that do not have programmers available.
