Question:
The tail light assembly on my 5 X 10 utility trailer has a red wire and a black wire. The ground is through the mounting bolts. It uses a 2 element bulb. Black is the upper element. Red is the lower element. Which wire do I hook the signal/brake and running lights to, or does it matter. I recieved my order yesterday. Good quality great service.

Expert Reply:
The signal/brake light wire should be spliced to the brighter element usually the lower one powered by the red wire. The dimmer element is for the running lights which is usually the upper element powered by the black wire.
