Do Tailgate Locks Need to be Installed by a Professional or Body Shop

Is this lock something i can install in my own garage or do i have to take it to a body shop to have it installed ? And does it come in chrome?

The Integrated OEM Tailgate locks are definitely something that someone with average mechanical abilities can do in their garage with basic tools. You would not need to take your truck to a body shop to have the tail gate lock installed.

At this time, they are not made with a chrome finish, only the OEM black.
